18 Places to Find Images To Use On Your Blog

I love photography. Capturing the moment or the scene or even a still life is fascinating.  But sometimes taking the perfect photograph can be difficult. Maybe you just don’t have time. Or the subject isn’t something you can easily provide a photo for.

That’s why it’s important to have access to online sources where you can either purchase or use free the stock images the sites offer. (and when you do have the time to take your own photos, you can submit them to some of these sites for pay:))

When using stock images be sure to read each sites terms of use. Some images can be used freely without providing attribution where it came from. Others can’t.

Here’s a list of my favorites:

Stock Images

1. Morguefile.com 

Love this site and the images are free to use.

2. stock.xchang

Another free stock images site. This one also has some illustrations that are pretty neat.

3. ImageAfter.com

This is a site I just recently discovered. Here’s a quote from the site:

Image*After is a large online free photo collection. You can download and use any image or texture from our site and use it in your own work, either personal or commercial.

4. FreeFoto.com

This site offers free images with a watermark, options to purchase use, and the option to share on your blog.

5. FreeImages.co.uk

On this site the they have over 6,000 Free stock photos in 84 categoris.  The images can be used on websites, printed media, on your products.

6. Skout.co.za

This site offers resources for multimedia designers, including images and fonts.
