Connecting to Real Life
Just a little personal thoughts to help you get to know me. And maybe a little marketing thrown in the mix as well? This all came about from Tiffany Dow’s comments about putting yourself out there and personalizing your blog. I love most of the things Tiffany teaches. Even though she can be a little (lot) tough, I know she is doing it because she loves us all and wants us to succeed.
Day One: Book Writing and Kindling Review
Well, I went through the newbies section on Geoff Shaw’s Kindling. Some great stuff to start my self-publishing career with. The first thing he tells me to do is to pick a type of book, either a short story fiction piece or a summary book. I will do the short story fiction. Already have a short outline done and started writing. This is in the contemporary romance genre. The next step is research. He suggests we check the bestseller’s in the category we have chosen to get an idea of what is selling. This is something I talked about in this post. Change is Good
Sometimes things happen even though we think we are prepared. A few weeks ago, my computer crashed and a virus attacked my websites. Even though I thought I had everything backed up, and downloaded all the posts from my blogs, I still lost a big part of my data. It was a nightmare trying to get everything back the way it should be. I recently started using an online backup service, Carbonite.com. Although it isn’t a free service, it is still very reasonable. So lesson learned. … backup everything weekly! So while I was doing all this rebuilding, I sat down a really examined my goals and how they fit into what I wanted my lifestyle to be. Since it is a new year, it is…
