Creating Your Book: How to Find Time For Writing
Creating your book manuscript involves taking the time to do the writing. That means, for me, to set aside time every day to do some daily writing on the book. In this post, I mentioned I was starting my kindle publishing career with a short story. While I am determined to get a book published I have been following along with Geoff Shaw’s Kindling course, so writing daily is necessary to have a book I can publish soon. It’s coming along. I have tried to write at least 700 words a day. Some days it’s been less some days more but I hope, barring no major interruptions, I will have the first draft finished by weekend. Already have a short outline done and started writing. This is in the contemporary romance genre. The next step is research. He suggests we check the bestseller’s in the category we have chosen to get an idea of what is selling. This is something I talked about in this post. Look at the covers, read the reviews and list the tags customers used to find the book. The third step is to choose a pen…

The writing and creation stage of this is the most fascinating part of the venture for me. But I am looking forward to the technical phase as well. The marketing and promotion, not so much. But I am going to persevere and face those demons when I get to that phase.
